UNACHI-PANAMÁ successfully concludes its 2024 activities

The end-of-year dinner for the CLIMAR-ERASMUS+ PROJECT, led by the Institute for Research on Territorial Management, Risk, and Climate Change (TERICC) at the Autonomous University of Chiriquí, Panama, is being held. The event was attended by students, researchers, university administrators, and members of private companies that bring together organizations related to tourism and climate change.
The activities and achievements of the project during 2024 were presented at the event. A program was developed under the direction of Dr. Catalina Espinosa and led by Eduardo Coreas, MA. During the event, Ana Gómez spoke about climate change, and Dr. Nallilys Baúles contextualized the issue in relation to tourism.
The coordinator of the CLIMAR Project, Javier De León from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, gave a virtual welcome speech to the participants at the dinner and explained what the project is about and its objectives, which are being achieved through the development of different work packages promoted by partners in both Europe and Latin America.
The dinner was an ideal opportunity to present various activities that expand the development of the work packages and highlight the various training courses that have served to provide a theoretical and practical foundation for the project and, above all, for the research groups that have been formed.
Likewise, Ms. Giselle Socarraz, representing the Western Region Competitiveness Center (CECOMRO), an organization that brings together the Panamanian Association of Business Executives (APEDE), the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture of Chiriquí (CAMCHI), and the Pro-Chiriquí Foundation, expressed her gratitude for the invitation to learn about the project and the progress made by the Autonomous University of Chiriquí through its participation in the project.
